I still like picking a drawing challenge to try and complete each October, especially now that Inktober has splintered and spawned hundreds of themes to choose from, each one enticing in its own way. I’ve come to see it as a month of self-education and experimentation. It’s hard to give yourself the time for that, with the pressure to keep creating new artwork and to stay in a familiar style and/or subject matter, all as quickly paced as possible!

This year I chose Invertober, a different invertebrate each day, organized by @fossilforager. I already love drawing invertebrates, but these were all new to me! I’m going to post all of them here and will make prints out of my favorite ones, so follow me to find out when! 🐛🐞🦋
