It’s the organized chaos of a compost heap, a most beautiful sight! I’m happy with how this pattern came out BUT it has me stuck in a moral quandary (a QUANDARY!!) because how could I place artwork promoting environmental sustainability onto any mass-produced, non-biodegradable, and/or disposable objects, which is where most repeating patterns end up? This is a problem I am also trying to figure out with the rest of the patterns I have designed.
For that reason, I’m keeping it as a portfolio piece for now and may release it in digital formats later, although I would hold out for something with keepsake potential, like a 50s-style cocktail dress. Here are some examples of how it would look on a few physical objects:
